Purpose: CDL Drivers are responsible for transporting different types of goods from distribution centers to customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport goods and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.

Job Duties:

Will pull a 48ft to 53 refrigeration trailer
Maneuver the trailer around busy streets, businesses and tight spaces
Perform daily yard checks
Responsible for hand loading and un-loading refer
Use a hand-dolly for heavier loads or pallet if necessary or available
Operate a hand-held computer to log and track orders on a daily basis
Communicate with other departments and drivers on a daily basis
Be on time with delivery schedules
Additional duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous experience delivering food using a refrigeration trailer
Previous experience operating a yard horse
Minimum 2 year experience within last 3 years
Must have a valid CDL Class A License
Must have a clean MVR
Truck/trailer and maneuver amongst city buildings and traffic
Must be able to lift 50lbs and ok with daily manual labor
Must have excellent customer service when dealing with business customers
Must pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT Physical and a job function/road test
Must have experience driving in-city route
Must have food handling and/or refer truck/trailer experience

Physical Requirements:

Stand, walk; use hands and feet to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
Use of computers, scanners, telephones, and other warehouse support and office equipment
Occasional lifting and/or move objects ranging from 20 to 50 pounds
Ability to work longer hours as needed to satisfy customer and seasonal requirements
Able to operate industrial equipment
Work in cold temperature environment; as well as up to heights of 40 feet
Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and industrial equipment
