INCENTIVES THAT HELP EVERYONE

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

<a href=”http://google.com”>Google</a>

Please be aware of a new business opportunity, an On-the-Job Training (OJT) program provided through Workforce Development Grants awarded to Massachusetts.

On-the-job training enables employers to hire new employees and train them at their place of business, and you will be reimbursed a percentage of the new employees’ wages during that training.

This program will allow eligible individuals to gain the necessary credentials or training that will allow them to become capable and productive employees, while also providing hiring flexibility to the employer.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Yolanda Ruiz-Klopfer, OJT Contact, at  (413) 322-7136 or at yruiz@masshireholyoke.org to discuss your employment needs, or to answer questions that you might have about On-the-Job-Training.   You also can learn more about On-the-Job-Training by going to www.mass.gov/dcs/ojt.

This may be a great opportunity for your company to participate in an employee training program and being reimbursed for it.  It’s a win-win situation for all involved!

WORK OPPORTUNITY TAX CREDITS (WOTC)

This benefit may be available to your company if you hire and train job seekers from the following groups:

  • Military Veterans
  • Re-Entry (Ex-Offenders)
  • People Living with Disabilities
  • Youth between ages of 14-21
  • Individuals who have been unemployed for 1 year or longer
