SUMMARY
The Upskilling Navigator will support the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of our customers into career training programs. The purpose of this position is to help those customers interested in increasing their marketability achieve their employment goals in regional priority industries via ARPA-funded training grants. To achieve this, the Upskilling Navigator will creatively recruit customers for the training programs, determine customers eligibility for specific training programs, and support enrolled customers through program completion. Additionally, the Upskilling Navigator will develop relationships and collaborate closely with designated training providers, and others in the workforce development ecosystem.
The successful individual will be a strong communicator in both verbal and written form. You will be working with a customer base that has a wide diversity of backgrounds, educational levels and work history. Strong organizational skills are key as you will be working with many people and organizations. You need to be comfortable with data entry as everything we do is recorded in our computer system. (If it is not entered, it did not happen) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word , Powerpoint) is required. Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) is a plus. Self-directed individuals will do well in this position.
