GENERAL SUMMARY

Assists with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Transportation Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Answers telephones and greets walk in public.
Produces student PVTA passes, maintains ridership lists and distributes passes to high schools.
Assists with the distribution of school bus monitor and crossing guard paychecks weekly. Provides additional support to Supervisor of Bus Monitors and Crossing Guards.
Serves as Transportation Department translator.
Distributes updated school bus routes.
Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

A high school diploma (or GED equivalent) and at least one-year experience in an office setting.

Appropriate education substitutions can be made.

Bilingual preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Knowledge of various computer programs
Knowledge of Power School and Versatrans Routing System
Ability to determine PVTA transportation eligibility
Must have the ability to fluently speak and understand Spanish
Ability to problem solve
Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations
Ability to handle common inquiries or complaints
Ability to respond to questions from students, faculty, staff, and visitors
Ability to use (or learn to use) computer software and systems applicable to the position
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures
Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data and prepare accurate records
Ability to establish and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff, peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other departments, as well as with staff of outside entities and other individuals, as applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities

Salary Range $35,328.00 – $47,297.00 / Per Year
