Student Life Chaperone

Deerfield Academy’s Student Life Office is seeking Chaperones to supervise groups of students on buses that provide transportation to airports when school recesses resulting in approximately 8 round trips per academic year. This is an intermittent position that requires flexibility with general availability in the evenings and weekends.

Primary responsibilities include: checking students onto the bus utilizing provided lists and maintain proper counts and records for the Student Life Office; maintain safe behavior and interactions between students while on the bus, and assist the bus driver with any needed communications or concerns.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent; 1 – 3 years’ working with groups of individuals; the ability to effectively communicate with students and employees; and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
