Senior Accountant to Controller / Nonprofit

Well-established and very financially strong small non-profit (not social services) is looking for a very hands Controller due to a pending retirement at the end of the year. The incumbent will help with the transition. There is very little if any OT and great benefits. This can be a great role for an up and coming Staff or Senior Accountant who really cares about their community and enjoys accounting. The organization will train.
Although the organization would prefer someone who can walk right in and take over, with the lower than market salary, they are willing to train candidates with 2+ years of general accounting experience.
This is a 1-person accounting team for a small organization. The Controller does it all including AR, AP, financial reporting, assist with budget preparation and analysis, ad hoc analysis and reporting and liaison with the outside CPA.
The ideal candidate has a BS in Accounting, full month end close experience, GAAP accounting and financial statement preparation, AR, AP and budget preparation and analysis experience however the organization is willing to train bright candidates with 2+ yrs. general accounting (account reconciliations), and some month end close experience) experience.
Base salary range to $75,000 plus great benefits!
