Description

MHA is hiring immediately for a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of two homes that serve survivors of acquired brain injury or other major life changing event. They are responsible for the direction, culture and quality of care that is delivered throughout the sites to which they lead. They work in tandem with the Program Nurse and Program Clinician to provide the highest standard of care for all those served within the program. They will provide direct supervision to the Site Manager who provides on-site leadership at their site and Direct Support Specialists within the program. The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of Residential Services of New Way and is expected to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Mental Health Association policies and regulations.

The Program Coordinator Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time, prioritize tasks, take initiative, follow through, and work cooperatively to direct a team.

Good oral, written, computer, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing needs of the program participants. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, caring, and compassion.

Must be able to pass and maintain certifications in medication administration (MAP), CPR, and first aid.

Must have ability to facilitate and develop a supportive community in a diverse, multi-cultural residential setting.

Program Coordinator Education and Professional Experience:

Bachelor?s Degree in related field preferred. Three to five years of related professional experience including a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity or acceptable substitution of experience.

Experience working with individuals who have sustained a brain injury, who are in recovery, and/or require physical care is strongly preferred.
