Production Engineer

Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing and operational training processes and procedures to achieve production goals of the organization. Identifies and evaluates training gaps in the organization and develops processes and procedures to eliminate those gaps. The successful candidate will determine training objectives and work with leadership across the organization to assist in the development of required skills for various positions.

Responsibilities

Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of all employees.
Participates in, and conducts technical training programs.
Collaborate with various leads in manufacturing and other functions within the organization to determine training needs and processes.
Writes training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, and tests.
Support the successful implementation of our Demonstrative Evaluation process.
Assist in the development of the Demonstrative Evaluation process throughout the organization and our remote locations.
Writes a variety of technical manuals for documentation and training purposes.
Responsible for the display of graphics and tracking used as a visual aid throughout the shop floor and work areas
Perform other tasks as necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferred.
Experience with manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures relating to training and development and adult learning principles.
Strong time management skills and project planning.
Basic knowledge of statistical concepts, strong mathematical skills, and ability to draw conclusions from results.
Outstanding mechanical aptitude.
Ability to independently complete special tasks and projects.
Strong communication skills / both written and verbal.
Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize workloads.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift up to 35 pounds.
Good close vision and depth perception skills.
Positive “can do” attitude!
