Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Summary: Responsible for the prompt, efficient repair of machines and equipment on manufacturing sites by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Confirms proper operation of manufacturing machines and equipment each day.
2. Applies knowledge and ability to complete necessary repairs to all phases of manufacturing equipment.
3. Diagnoses malfunctions promptly and reports to Supervisor.
4. Wears necessary safety equipment each day to include hard hats, safety glasses, proper work boots, safety harnesses and any other safety equipment needed for the assigned job.
5. Maintains tools and repairs equipment in optimum working condition.
6. Uses proper tools and equipment safely to complete each repair.
7. Reports any safety related issues or accidents to management immediately.
8. Ensures work area is cleaned and safe at the end of each workday.
9. Secures tools, materials and equipment in the proper area at the end of each day.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior related work experience helpful.

Working Conditions:
Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts

Physical Requirements:
– Must have ability to read applicable customer/Tell Tool documents with or without corrective lenses.
– May have lift up to fifty (50) pounds or more at a time.
– Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
