Job Description
Long-term Substitute Special Education Teacher
Grades 4 and 5 co-taught Special Education Teacher
Duties:
-Plan, prepare and present lessons for students.
-Create lesson plans that honors and embraces the diversity of our school community and meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students
-Employ a variety of instructional strategies that engage students at a high level
-Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment which is responsive to student diversity, utilizing positive behavior interventions and strategies
-Maintain accurate records
This position allows you to enjoy teaching in two grade levels with a co-teacher.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Moderate Special Needs Certification
-SEI Endorsement
Schedule: this position is expected to last until the end of the school year.
Rates:
-$119.00/day – 60-119 College Credits or Associates Degree
-$132.00/day- 120+ College Credits or Bachelors Degree
-$145.00/day – Certified or Retired Teachers
