Inventory Control Clerk, 2nd Shift

Purpose: The Inventory Clerk maintains an accurate perpetual inventory by conducting cycle counts; maintain accuracy of information pertaining to all product lines; and identify, research and remedy inaccuracies to preserve data integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain complete process documentation for the inventory control procedures
Ensure the integrity of the company’s financial and varying inventory by achieving a 99.8% accuracy goal
Work efficiently & effectively with various departments to create & implement solutions
Ability to analyze data to determine root causes, steps to reconciliation, and preventative measures
Provide floor support to Supervisors and hourly employees regarding inventory issues
Be a hands-on participant in the inventory recoup/repack/recycle programs
Manage physical inventory and counts. Research validity and perform inventory adjustments
Conduct physical counts daily and review subsequent adjustments, reporting results to management weekly
Responsible for auditing of outbound freight/orders as needed
Assist with day-to-day warehouse activity when needed as directed by management
Ability to vary work schedule as needed to meet deadlines and customer demands
Performs a variety of other tasks

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High school diploma is preferred
1 – 5 years’ experience in inventory control (food distribution preferred) and hands on experience with WMS systems
Able to work in varying environments including the ability to withstand cold temperatures (-20) with proper protective clothing for long periods of time
Detail oriented
Experience with industrial equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, Hi-Lo?s and/or stock pickers
Strong mathematical skills
Familiar with a variety of warehouse concepts, practices and procedures

Physical Requirements:

Stand, walk; use hands and feet to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
Use of computers, scanners, telephones, and other warehouse support and office equipment
Occasional lifting and/or move objects ranging from 20 to 50 pounds
Work in cold temperature environment; as well as up to heights of 40 feet
Ability to work longer hours as needed to satisfy customer and seasonal requirements
Able to operate industrial equipment
Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and industrial equipment
