Responsibilities:
Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11p – 7:30a or 10p – 6a

The Intake Coordinator, under the supervision of the Intake Director, is responsible for facilitating the admission process. As a member of the Intake and Admissions team the Mental Health Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing admission referrals, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations and for assisting patients throughout the admission process.

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

Bachelors Degree in Mental Health, Human Services or related field preferred. Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record required; experience with Electronic Health Record and Excel preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Effective oral and written communication skills
Direct patient contact and de-escalation skills experience preferred
Previous experience with Substance Use Disorder
Excellent customer service skills including telephone / computer communications
Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries
Knowledgeable in the area of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment modalities
Ability to develop appropriate treatment interventions based on developmental needs
Ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized, and professional manner
