E-Coat Operator

Shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am

Position

We are searching for an Electrocoat (E-Coat) Machine Operator to help support our E-Coat process. Reporting to the E-Coat Supervisor, the successful candidate will be detail-oriented, extremely thorough, organized and can multi-task.

Responsibilities
Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
Start machine, observe operation, and inspect first run and sample work pieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
Reads blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as part identification, part color, number of parts to be run, and coating instructions.
Selects, installs and adjusts machine controls to production run sheet.
Performs preventative maintenance inspections as required.
Assists other Electrocoat staff to set up machine, rake, and pack and transport finished work pieces.
Maintains a neat and well-organized work area.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass Chemical Hygiene Training.
Analytical, mathematical, organizational and communication skills preferred.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret production sheets.
Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electrically and mechanically.
Assist with preventative maintenance.
Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner.
Strong working knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation preferred.
Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on capacity.
Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills.
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
