Compensation Analyst
Position Type: Staff Full-Time (Remote) Temporary
Hours per week: 37.5
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (Hybrid or Remote Supported)

Department Summary & Job Purpose:
In partnership with the Mount Holyoke College community, the Human Resources Department supports the mission of the College by providing programs and services that attract, develop and retain a highly qualified and diverse workforce. We provide leadership in identifying and responding to the community?s changing needs, and in providing guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures in support of our mission.

The Compensation Analyst will oversee the development and maintenance of the College?s compensation programs, policies, and procedures. The incumbent in this role will be required to be data-minded with a compassion for people, prioritization of both the financial health and goals of the College, alongside an understanding of the College?s culture.

This position is a temporary 12-month assignment with a target start date of January 2023 the position may be extended based on available funding.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a compensation expert with experience in developing compensation strategies and protocols. The successful candidate should be action-oriented and demonstrate an innovative approach to compensation practices. Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
– This position will serve as a primary point of contact on classification and compensation issues. Determines appropriate organizational structure, job design, and conducts all market pricing, job re-leveling, and calibration exercises.
– Provides guidance, coordination, and support in the effective and consistent application of job classification and compensation policies and practices.
– Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the job market.
– Coordinates and executes initiatives in order to meet established goals, objectives, and timelines.
– Maintains pay equity and transparency..
