Job Description:

The Offices of Admissions, Testing & Assessment, and Student Financial Services (Enrollment Services) are currently seeking to fill a full time clerical position. This position serves as a member of the Enrollment Services team, focusing on general office management and enrollment functions. This person will be primarily located in the Student Financial Services, assisting with data entry, performing cashiering and customer service in addition to processing forms, and other specialized clerical duties related to financial aid and student billing.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Assist in the daily operations in the primary assignment, which is Student Financial Services.
Cross train in other enrollment offices to provide support on an as needed basis.
Greet office visitors, answering phones and other clerical functions.
Provide quality customer service at all times when responding to inquiries in-person, over the telephone, using online chat software, and through email.
Creation of documents including data entry needs to support student communication
Review, process, and update student related forms
Disseminate information regarding students’ financials (including financial aid status and tuition and fee billing)
Cashiering/processing of tuition payments (including cash, checks, and credit cards)
Daily reconciliation of payment activity (including reconciliation reports)
Distribution of refund and payroll checks to students, faculty and staff
Third party billing
“One Card” processing for students, faculty, and staff
Must possess the ability to respond appropriately in a changing office environment while maintaining the focus required to see a task to conclusion.

Demonstrates 100% time-on-task; adheres to college and routine office procedures, and regulations.
Participate in college, division, department meetings, events and training as recommended and approved by the supervisor.

Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those listed above which do not alter the basic level of the position.

Requirements:

High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred; Three years or more experience in a busy office environment.
Demonstrated skills in management of financial transactions, customer service or higher education, information management, etc.
Familiarity with a higher education environment, information management software and a demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion within an organization are preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Gmail, and the ability to learn new software and other skills as needed.

Additional Information:

Salary: $1667.36 bi-weekly, Clerk IV, Grade 13, Step 1

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.
