Description

Reporting to the Director of Admission and Onboarding, the Associate Director will lead process improvement and integration of all technology platforms and processes related to recruitment, admissions, and new student onboarding, including the Banner Admissions module and EAB Navigate technology platform. The Associate Director will lead a team of Admissions Operations staff and coordinate system implementation and integration with the college IT department. To achieve the successful performance of new student admissions and onboarding systems, you will have a strong understanding of the admissions funnel, enrollment processes, and the role of technology in facilitating students’ movements through them. You will build strong working relationships with staff, administrators, and faculty. You will also assess students’ and staff needs in both leveraging technology and aligning it with student success. You will work directly with campus stakeholders to ensure the achievement of strategies and benchmarks outlined in the Title III Grant and the College’s Strategic Plan. You will collaborate across the College to support the college’s equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. You will be responsible for promoting an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students, employees, and our local community, one in which every individual feels respected and valued. The following competencies are also required: demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a diversified environment, Critical Thinking, Relationship Building, Organizational and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree;
Minimum of three years coordination/project management of technology programs or other leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
Experience working with or administering software or technology programs;
Strong working knowledge of EAB Navigate or other similar educational technologies;
Strong working knowledge of Ellucian Banner or other similar student information systems;
Ability to translate complex technical concepts and functionalities in conversation by providing support to non-technical audiences; demonstrated ability to listen effectively, identify critical paths quickly, and adjust plans and approach as necessary;
Demonstrated experience in building a climate that elevates equity, diversity and inclusion;
Experience in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and with changing demands.

PREFERRED:

Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Management, or other related disciplines;
Demonstrated experience in implementing and evaluating recruitment and enrollment strategies;
Demonstrated experience in implementing and evaluating the use of educational technology;
Experience working in a community college or a similar institution of higher education, community organization, or large institution;
Ability to function effectively as part of a distributed team, working effectively as an individual contributor, team member, and as a manager of a complex project and project resources.
