Department Summary & Job Purpose:
The Career Development Center (CDC) at Mount Holyoke College fosters lives of intent and purpose through career curiosity, confidence, and knowledge. We support students with all aspects of career development, including exploring their interests, refining career paths, building relevant skills and connections, and gaining practical experience. In addition to advising, resources, workshops, alum and employer events, and jobs and internships, we also improve access to opportunities through the college?s Student Employment and Lynk Summer Funding programs.

The Mount Holyoke College Career Development Center is seeking an Assistant Director, Metrics & Assessment to take leadership on the center’s collection and use of data, as well as the administration and maintenance of its technical systems. The Assistant Director (AD) collaborates closely with colleagues both in the CDC and across campus related to data collection and management. The AD manages multiple priorities, assesses and evaluates shorter-term and longer-term goals, and works with a range of students, alumnae, faculty, and staff. This individual works closely with partners in Institutional Research, LITS, academic departments, the Alumnae Association, and Advancement. In addition to data and systems, the Assistant Director provides career advice for undergraduate students and college graduates and contributes to the delivery of career development programs. The AD works closely with the CDC’s leadership team.

– Collaborate with CDC colleagues to identify and articulate the performance metrics used to assess the CDC?s progress on a variety of goals, and with the Communications Manager to produce data visualizations that illustrate the CDC?s work.
– Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a central dashboard and key metrics showing the performance benchmarks established for the CDC, as well as progress toward identified goals. Establish and refine data collection and reporting processes that support the identified metrics, and regularly gather and integrate data so the dashboard can be used to show progress, identify challenges, and inform decisions.
– Oversee the “knowledge rate” project to collect information on the post-graduate destinations of Mount Holyoke students, in close collaboration with Institutional Research and the Alumnae Association.
